Check out this amazing footage of an ongoing Mario A.I. competition where those who enter much create the best artificial intelligent Mario to run around the game.

The AI controlled character must get to the end of the most difficult level of the game without being killed.

The creator of this AI version is Robin Baumharten who entered the competition because he was bored and wanted to hone his AI programming skills.

The red lines you see on the video show Mario’s routes which he considers at which point, the best one is chosen.
