Nintendo DS Jump Ultimate Stars Is Ready To Be Downloaded

Posted by Clyde Arrowny On January - 13 - 2010

Recent Update: Nintendo DS Jump Ultimate Stars can be downloaded in Unlimited Ds Download.

Review acquired from thunderboltgames.com:

Shonen Jump is back. No, not the ever-so-popular Japanese magazine. I’m talking about the animated reality in which Shonen Jump characters exist. The place is inhabited heroes like Goku and Piccolo from Dragon Ball, Monkey D. Luffy and crew from One Piece, and the elite ninjas of Naruto fame. Any of those names sound familiar? If you’re a fan of current anime, a devout reader of its respective mangas, or just watch primetime Cartoon Network, these characters ought to be common knowledge. These are the anime characters that have become pop culture icons in Japan and have been featured on television in the United States. With the advent of Jump Superstars, these heroes were jumbled together for an ensemble roster of the DS’s premier fighting game. However, Jump! Ultimate Stars has arrived, and it is poised to gain even more fame than its predecessor could have hoped.

That’s right, boys and girls. That quirky DS fighting game is back and better than ever. However, the minds behind the first Jump game have pulled out all the stops this time. Jump! Ultimate Stars features 41 of Shonen Jump’s most famous series. It’s not just the recent stuff, either. Though Yu-Gi-Oh, Bleach, and all the rest of series have been retained from the previous title, this latest installment includes the casts from Fist of the North Star, Saint Seiya, Kinnukuman, and Captain Tsubasa. When all is said, done, and unlocked, you’ll find that Jump! Ultimate Stars boasts a character roster that nearly doubles that of its predecessor. Just in case you haven’t played the older game, that roughly translates to 300 characters. Read the rest of this entry »

Must see Anime (completed list)

Posted by Oblivious On August - 18 - 2009

With Anime getting quite a bit more exposure than previous days, many people new to the scene want to know what there is to watch other than the famed 3 : Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece, undoubtedly some of the most popular animes of all time. I don’t think I need to add them to this list, because if you haven’t watched them, chances are you aren’t even interested in Anime? Anyway, once you’ve caught up to the newest releases and are waiting the over-night subs to trickle over to the US via the world wide web, what else is there to watch? Here’s a few of my favorites for you to fill those empty slots up with that won’t just be another filler for the day. I recommend watching all anime in their native language, there’s an entire career to be had for voice actor/actresses in Japan, some even become Idols and sign record deals… but if you absolutely must, I would recommend just about any anime that ADV has done with Luci Christian as one of the voice actresses. You’ll be thoroughly amazed and appreciate just how much a Voice Actor/Actress can step up the Anime series. Luci is by far one of my most favorite voice actresses and I can honestly say I’ve only not seen like 4 off the list that Wiki has listed for Luci, and they’re all worth watching. here’s Luci Christian’s wiki page. Just to clarify, there are many that I’ve omitted from this list since I’ve already listed them in the manga top 10 or what not, great shows like G.T.O and the likes. If there is any COMPLETED show that you feel it must absolutely go on this recommended must see list, please leave it in the comments area. Share the goods peeps!

Here are my COMPLETED anime recommendations, not in any order, since you should watch them ALL anyway!!

fmp!Full Metal Panic!
This anime was the “gateway drug” that got me hooked. It has everything you’d want in an Anime and more. The 2nd season, “Full Metal Panic, Fumoffu?” and 3rd season “Second Raid” are also complete, check them out too! Sousuke Sagara, a sixteen year old military specialist working for the secret organization MITHRIL, has been assigned to protect the latest “Whispered” candidate Kaname Chidori. To complete this task Sousuke will have to deal with enemies from his past as well as the occasional panty thief. Unfortunately for Sousuke, the toughest part of his mission isn’t  protecting Miss Chidori but also getting used to living an average High School students life, no easy task for someone raised on the battlefield.

Ultimate Manga (Shonen) top 10

Posted by Oblivious On August - 17 - 2009

Your summer reading list might be filled with awesome books and wonderful authors, but not everyone with a reading list is a self proclaimed book worm. I’ve always believe in enjoying what you’re doing, so why not read some Manga instead of to kill a mockingbird? One might say that these “cartoon drawings” are just fantasies drawn on paper, but since when has fantasy become something we want to avoid? and time to enlighten yourself, there’s a full culture and even distinct genres of these “cartoon drawings”, and just because your family didn’t take you to Mt. Fuji for your summer vacation doesn’t mean you can’t sail the Grand Line searching with a bunch of crazy pirates searching for the ultimate treasure! With that said, here’s some of the best Mangas that I would personally recommend, I’ve made a separate list for the women folk too, you can check it out here :

My Shonen top 10:

12310. Change 123 – In Change 123, we meet Makoto, a girl with a very strange problem. In order to cope with her 3 adoptive fathers’ incredibly intensive training methods, she developed multiple personalities, each with a different martial specialty. But what happens if none of them can beat her opponent on their own? And what further nugget of wisdom will be imparted by the great Kamen Raider?
